What Does a Cone Beam Scan Involve?

The CBCT procedure is similar to the procedure for receiving an X-ray. There's no pain, and you'll be seated in front of the machine rather than lying down. You'll probably be given a small plastic mouthpiece and asked to bite down on it. This immobilizes your jaw and ensures it's in the correct position for the scan.

The machine's arm will circle your head in a 360-degree motion, providing us with a complete and accurate detail of your jaw.
